The Newton Unfiltered Merlot is unique in that is has not been filtered. The winemaker believes this approach produces wines that are more complex, and more "true" to the varietal. This wine has rich aromas of dried flowers, blackberry jam, and roasted hazelnuts. The palate is full of strawberry, cherry, and sweet currant. It is well structured with a balanced acidity. Nice.
